It was the court's first sitting at the Sacramento law school. A panel consisting of Chief Judge Alex Kozinski, center, and Circuit Judges Sidney R. Thomas and Consuelo Callahan heard appeals of cases decided by the federal trial courts for Northern and Eastern California. Afterward, the judges fielded questions from some of the students who filled the law school's 300-seat Lecture Hall. The panel also granted media requests to videotape the proceedings.
